Ski Bum Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Buck has been a fixture of the ski town since the late 80s. Amassing thousands of days on the hill. He recently received a lifetime achievement award from the local chamber of commerce. An award typically reserved for those who contribute to society through The Arts, Business, Innovation, etc. Buck’s path to this award has been a little unconventional. So much so that the local newspaper has had a tough time highlighting his accomplishments for the Sunday edition.

Luckily, we have compiled a list of achievements for them to choose from.

  1. Born in 1958
  2. Successfully repaired his down jacket with duct tape
  3. Has waxed and tuned his own skis several times
  4. Holds the local record for most shots of Old Crow done in one sitting
  5. Knows the ins and outs of applying for unemployment every fall
  6. Smokes Pyramids

Editor’s Note: These same achievements can be used for his obituary as it is unlikely he will accomplish anything else in his remaining years.

Only a handful of seasonal positions await Buck before his Social Security benefits kick in. He’s looking forward to untracked snow and recreational drug use. With the help of the federal government Buck’s golden years shouldn’t be much different from his ‘working years’.
